Full Stack Node.js Developer for AI Calling-Agent Project

Full-Stack Node.js Developer (AWS/MongoDB) - Looking for someone to onboard to an AI calling-agent project. The product is ready but requires updates, new feature development, and other related improvements. If the candidate shows strong potential, we can consider full-time onboarding within month. The working hours will follow the EST time zone, and the position is permanently remote (WFH).

Job Description-
Key Responsibilities
• API Development: Design, implement, and document RESTful APIs using Node.js/Express.
• Database Management:
o Model and optimize MongoDB (Mongoose) schemas, indexes, and transactions.
o Handle backups, restores, and migrations; ensure data integrity and scalability.
• Caching & Queues: Use Redis for caching, rate-limiting, and lightweight job queues; manage cron-based tasks.
• File & Email Operations:
o Manage file ingestion/export (CSV, XML, XLSX).
o Build email workflows with Nodemailer (EJS/Handlebars) and AWS WorkMail routing.
• AWS Operations: Manage EC2 instances, security groups, S3 assets, IAM roles, and presigned URLs.
• Security & Reliability: Implement authentication, input sanitization, logging, and alerting.
• Front-End: Develop responsive interfaces with React/Vue.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to plan, scope, and deliver features on time.

Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience developing production-grade web applications.
• Strong skills in Node.js/Express, MongoDB schema design, and query optimization.
• Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, S3, IAM, WorkMail).
• Proficient with Redis and background job scheduling.
• Understanding of email systems, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps basics.
Nice to Have
• Experience with AI Agents (Retell AI, LiveKit, Twilio, ViciDial).
• Familiarity with AWS ECS and advanced CI/CD pipelines.
