Expert Full Stack Developer Needed - one month short contract READ BEFORE APPLYING

We are an early-stage fintech startup based in Canada (RewardsX Loyalty Platform International Inc.) currently developing a mobile application using Flutter & Dart with a dedicated mobile team based in Chennai, India.
We are looking for a reliable and practical Back-end Developer to support our Flutter/Dart team for a one-month contract. This is a part-time support role focused on API development, debugging, and backend integration rather than building a system from scratch.
Our application ecosystem includes:
Flutter & Dart Mobile App
Node.js Backend (existing codebase)
MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases
MERN-based web modules (React)
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure
The selected developer will work closely with our mobile team to ensure smooth API connectivity, backend stability, and feature support.
Scope of Work
Support Flutter team with API integration and backend endpoints
Work on existing Node.js backend services
Debug and fix backend issues impacting mobile app
Optimize APIs for performance and scalability
Handle database operations (MongoDB & PostgreSQL)
Assist with deployment and backend maintenance on GCP
Collaborate with a distributed team (Canada + Chennai)
This is a support-focused role, not a greenfield build.
Technical Requirements (Must Have)
Strong experience in Node.js (Express preferred)
Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL
REST API development and integration
Basic understanding of Flutter backend requirements
Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience working with existing codebases
Git-based workflow experience
Nice to Have:
MERN stack experience (React exposure)
Startup or fast-paced product experience
Experience supporting mobile apps (Flutter/iOS/Android)
Work Schedule & Commitment
Duration: 1 Month (with potential extension)
Work Type: Part-time
Hours: 4–5 hours per day
Days: Monday to Friday
Preferred Overlap: IST / Chennai working hours
Daily coordination with the Chennai mobile team will be required.
