Temporary Hybrid Project Manager

Job ID: 39812777

Budget: £18 – £36 GBP

Our in-house project manager is unexpectedly on sick leave, so I need an experienced PM to step in immediately and keep several short-term initiatives moving. The work revolves around presentation development, coaching and training programmes that are already scoped, with cross-functional contributors waiting on clear direction.

You’ll draw on both Agile and Waterfall techniques as the situation demands—We use a PM platform called Monday.com which we will show you have to use if not familiar. There will also be classic scheduling and stage-gates for stakeholder sign-off on training materials. Your first priority will be to support the team with daily resourcing meetings by reviewing the current project plan, validate timelines and surface any hidden risks or resource gaps. From there, you’ll coordinate the team, track progress daily, and escalate obstacles before they slow us down.

Key outcomes I’m counting on:
• A refreshed, realistic timeline that everyone understands and buys into
• Visible task tracking so the team always knows what’s next
• Early identification of scope creep or delivery risks, with mitigation actions documented
• Smooth hand-back once my colleague returns, supported by up-to-date status reports and assets

All collaboration can be handled through our existing toolset—Teams, SharePoint and Monday.com—so location isn’t an issue as long as communication is prompt during UK working hours. If you’re ready to jump in this week and make an immediate impact, I’d love to hear how you would approach the first 48 hours on the job.
