UI/UX for a new language learning app
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I have been working in my spare time for the last two years on a language learning app that I would like to polish for publication to the app stores. The app is mostly feature complete right now but I've not spent much time on the UI/UX. I'm looking for someone to help me with the various CUJs, on tuning the workflows and designing the look and feel (UI + UX) to make the whole thing feel polished and comfortable.
The app has the following primary user journeys:
* Online/offline translation dictionary
Currently from Italian, German, or French to English, but I want it to expand to many other language pairs (i.e. help Italians learn English)
All inflections of words are available, with a separate conjugation screen
* Flashcard creation and study
Ability to passively study flashcards by listening to audio while doing other tasks
* Help reading a text
Look up a website, book, movie, or TV show and see all the words that are new that you don’t know, and study these specifically.
* Play grammar games/quizes
Focus on a specific part of the language that you don’t know and play games/quizes to strengthen your knowledge.
I’m looking for someone who can do the following:
* Design all the pages for the above user journeys
* Design intuitive and seamless ways to flow through the app
* Help get the app to initial release
The app is implemented in Flutter Material Design. I would prefer to stick with Material Design however am open to alternatives. Figma seems useful, so perhaps we would collaborate via Figma designs, although I am also open to alternatives.
I would prefer to work with an Italian since the focus of the app right now is on learning Italian, although this is not a requirement. I would also prefer to hire someone who has some experience using language learning apps, especially someone who’s currently trying to learn another language, as this will bring a unique perspective.
Payment is negotiable depending on the deliverables. My budget for this project is $5,000.00 and am interested in profit sharing relationships (money for services rendered in addition to a percentage of profit earned from app subscriptions).
I’m looking for someone who can start soon, but I don’t need the work highly prioritized - a few hours a day or a few days a week is fine. I would prefer to have the work completed by mid August.
