Scenario
Use an idea you have for developing an app in this assignment. The app should be complex enough that you need a small team of developers working on it.
You won't be asked to build the app itself.
Parts A, B and C of the Using Software Tools assignments are all about the peripheral tools you would use during a project.
Here you will select a methodology, select software and define the work in the development project.
Part 1 Selecting a Methodology
Select a Software development methodology for the app's design and development. (Agile, PRINCE2 or other).
Then answer the following questions about your choice.
Which Software development methodology did you select?
Justify your selection on why this was selected compared to one other Methodology
What criteria did you use to make your selection?
Part 2 Selecting Software
Select and justify your selection of the software used for the following:
Project management software. (E.G. MS Project, Trello, JIRA, etc).
Source control system to manage the source code and versioning. (E.G. Vault, GIT, Bit Bucket, ).
Collaboration software. (Slack, MS SharePoint, Confluence, ).
Briefly justify each selection.
Part 3 Defining the work
Working with your app idea, use your selected methodology and software from above to develop the following:
An appropriate Software Requirement Specification (SRS) with associated Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
For each task listed in the WBS provide what the outcome of that task should be.
Provide either exported documentation or screenshots of how the SRS and WBS appear within your selected project software.
Submit the following:
--Please combine all documents into a single report with section headings for each part.
--Provide a title page and table of contents
--Format your report professionally
