Rework on Kotlin app

I have hired a kotlin developer for building a calorie tracking application.
What happened is while developing an app we decided to take up a third party API to get serving size, calories, protein, carbs and fats. But because of some reason we are not able to serving size as per my expectations.
Therefore, we decided to switch to another API service provider. But, my developer is denying to proceed further.
So, what I want to ask is, will you be able to take up this task and complete the project?
The details of the new api provider can be found below:
1. The list of food and values like serving size, calories, protein, carbs, fat and fiber should be retrieved from the API:

The most important thing that we need to focus is on serving size. It should be in grams.
