ITC for fieldwork monitoring
Budget: $30 – $60 NZD
This project is developing a key aspect of a short-course. The short-course will include outdoor field work.
Students will be issued small tablet computers or large-screen mobile phones in use in the field to record work. The tablet would report the data to our server when the device is online and hold the entries for delayed reporting when off-line. In addition to manual entries, data would include photos and geo-location (e.g. GPS) information.
There will also be a web-interface that students can access to make certain non-field entries and review their entry history when not in the field.
The server will allow educators in our organisation to view information for each student and allow certain entry of information.
The system would calculate a progress score based on a formula we have developed and will allow students to see their score and give hints about how to improve their score.
All code for the project would need to be supplied to us so we can audit for security and update as required.
