Help me build a consignment portal for users to sell their items to our customer base

I am writing this post on behalf of Crepslocker (https://www.crepslocker.com/), one of the UK’s leading sneaker and luxury reselling companies. Crepslocker has both an online and retail presence.
A growing part of the business is consignment – this is where members of the public will sell their items (once accepted and verified by us) through our business, which we will then take a % cut for our service. The reason the public likes to do this is because we have a huge global audience and the payout prices they end up receiving for their products is higher than other platforms. As mentioned above, because this is a growing part of the business, we need to take the next logical step which is to move from our current manual process to an automated consignment portal.
The current manual process looks like this:
- Seller contacts Crepslocker as they are interested in consigning
- Buying team for Crepslocker takes a look at the stock list
- If there is anything Crepslocker wants to consign we then inform the seller
- Once consignment items and selling price are agreed (in line with our current sale prices) the seller will then fill out a spreadsheet detailing the product, size etc etc.
- Once this has been completed and agreed, the seller will deliver/send the items to Crepslocker with the attached consignment contract (they also have the option to send the contract before hand via email)
- Once Crepslocker have verified that all the items are legitimate, they will then be made available on all sales channels including in store, online, eBay etc etc
- When a consignment item is sold, the buying team will update the spreadsheet
- There is then a 14 day waiting period to allow time for any returns
- If the item has not been returned during the allowed period, the seller will then receive their payout
As you can see above, this is a very simple process, so we are not looking for anything too complicated in terms of a portal - just something where the user can log in, make a consignment request, we will then be notified on the back end for review and the rest of the process will flow the same as above. Additionally the portal will show all of our current products that we sell via our website so it is easy for the seller to select. Any items we don’t currently stock, they can submit a request which will need to include pictures and product SKU’s so we can decide whether we want to start stocking this additional item.
