Chinese ELL

Title: Seeking a passionate UI/UX designer to help design mobile app for, middle-school-aged Chinese student struggling to learn math in English.
Intro: Chinese English Language Learners (ELLs) are struggling to learn middle school math in English. Many are coming from homes where English is not spoken regularly. Consequently, they find it difficult to master the academic vocabulary necessary to be successful in bi-lingual and/or international schools. Moreover, many international teachers are either unable or unwilling to provide teaching strategies that support ELLs.
Research: We have conducted dozens of interviews with Chinese parents and have detailed customer research to help guide the process. In addition, we have over ten years of experience teaching ELLs in the US and internationally.
Deliverables: 7 - 8 detailed mockups based on wireframes using Figma.
Timeline: Mockups Completed by January 7, 2022
Qualifications:
• Fluent in English
• In same or similar time zone as Beijing, China (Maximum 3 hours difference)
• Customer-driven design approach and desire to create best customer experience
• Ability to communicate each design decision based on research provided
• Highly collaborative, offering suggestions on how to improve design
• Meets project deadlines on time and on budget

• If short-listed, we will pay you for 2 mockups capped at 2-3 hours of agreed-upon rate
• It it is a good fit, we will hire you to design the remaining wireframes.
