Build me a plant identification and ordering app
Budget: £80 – £100 GBP
This is a low-budget 1 1/2 to 2 week project where we are seeking to find a basic front-end development of a plant identification and follow-up ordering app.
As a core minimum, we are looking for a Graphical User Interface to be fully complete, whereas ideally we would also like to see the points below met in a rudimentary way in which they can easily be built upon.
In its most essential functions, we are looking for an app that can identify the name of a plant through a user taking a photo of said plant, followed by giving the user the option to locate garden centers/nurseries which have said plants in a given geographical boundary.
Moreover, we use the term 'UberPlant' to give an idea as to how the online ordering and delivery process should work. Namely, once a user places an order through payment integration, they will be able to track the vehicle carrying that plant to their location, just like UberEats does for a takeaway.
1.) Ability for users to save pictures of the plants that they have taken, such that they can check again should a plant re-enter stock
2.) Ability to identify and name plants (Lobe.ai or Google AI platform)
3.) Google Maps API to pinpoint locations of gardening centres which have the plant in question
4.) Back-end for gardening centres to post images and stock quantities of the plants that they have in stock
5.) As well as give address details, opening times, access to images etc.
6.) Ability for synchronicity with garden centres SKU systems (EPOS) - JIT-esque - Complementarity
7.) Delivery with Tracking - ‘UberPlant’
In order to have the app working on a rudimentary level, we ask that a list of garden centers within 20 miles of Coventry, UK is used for app showcase purposes, along with mock stock levels and mock delivery drivers.
