Build a cross-platform game application
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
We're an NGO planning to create a cross-platform text-based mobile game.
The concept of the app is to inform people about the problems of civil society in Central Asia in a format of a game. It will be an interactive fiction game with 8 different stories. They will be stories about people in Central Asia and the problems the civil society is facing in the region.
We have a web version of the game available via https://centralasien.org/en/gallery/ , but we are planning to expand the stories and turn the game into an app. The stories will be more linear compared to the stories on the website version of the game (in a sense that the player's choice rarely affects the outcome of the game significantly, and it mostly affects the ending of the game).
The game will be text-based. There are 3 main ways we share the story: narration, dialogue through texts and in-person dialogue.
We already have 2 stories written, but we would like to work on the creation of the app as we are writing the rest of the stories, and upload more stories to the app once they are ready.
Attached is a mockup of what we would like the application to look like, with more information about the game.
We have someone who will do character design for the game. There will be no animation in the game.
The game needs to be finished by November.
We would like the game to be available both for iOS and Android.
