Bluetooth BLE Scanner MIT App
Budget: £20 – £100 GBP
I need an app which is similar to BLE Scanner app (by Bluepixel Technologies) on Google Play / iOS.
It must be written in the MIT app inventor or Blockly so it can easily be ported over from mobile app to Arduino, M5Stack etc. Preferably need to use the standard MIT BLE extension as it has all the functionality needed for this app.
Project brief:
I have three BLE devices called GMA1, GMA2, GMA3 - all using a HM-10 BLE 4.0 module. There could be more BLE devices in the future and all will have the GMA# naming convention.
As soon as the app starts, it needs to scan specifically for these devices and ignore anything else in the vicinity.
The app needs to read the RSSI (signal strength) and display this for each GMA device found. This would be similar functionality to the proximity feature of the Bluepixel BLE Scanner app.
The RSSI needs to be displayed in a bargraph style graphical meter
- If any GMA BLE device is far away or not found then the meter is green.
- If any GMA BLE device is within 5 metres (-90 and above) then the meter is amber
- If any GMA BLE device is under 5 metres (-89 to -30) then the meter is red
This is a simple overview of the project, but I can write a full details project scope and mock up screens of how the app should look.
