App for managing cleaning at Airbnb apartments

Job ID: 33448240

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

The app would need to work cross platform on ios and android. We are an Airbnb apartment management company. This app is effectively an internal tool for assigning tasks/jobs to subcontractors that would be required to visit our apartments and perform a task/job/checklist and tracking their location and time spent. Think of a field management app, or a task management app.

Probably the hardest and most important part of the app to work cross platform - ios, android is to be able to take with camera or select from the gallery many photos - for example 20 photos pre-clean and 20 photos post-clean. The app can either take them from the camera directly - click click click... click, done. Or select them from the saved photos on the phone. It would need to be very easy and efficient to select many photos - not click on each photo and click ok, but rather select all of them and then click ok. Then the software would need to reduce the size/compress them to 90% jpg, then efficiently and quickly upload them to store that task. There would be many tasks stored over many days that can be later referenced. The job/task would be assigned to a subcontactor for example, Joe Bloggs and would be associated (and scheduled) on the checkout date of a particular booking, associated with a particular guest, associated with a specific apartment. You will need to recommend a framework/app development environment best suited to these requirements.

The app would download/sync through JSON API or receive webhook triggered by new bookings/booking modifications/booking deletions from the property management system (Beds24 - has API), and associated guest contact details - so that when tasks are assiged to staff they are already populated and linked to bookings and properties.

Internal User - User 1: Cleaning staff. Each booking would create a cleaning task on the booking's checkout date. The cleaner can see which dates they are needed at which property. The app would show us the cleaner's location, when they started cleaning, when they finished cleaning, and provide the cleaner a checklist of things to tick off and a place to upload before photos, after photos and photos of the keys. The cleaner would mark when the job is complete. The cleaner can create new cleaning jobs, add additional cleaning time to the current task or also log separate property maintenance issues which could be assigned to a maintenance staff.

Internal User - User 2: Maintenance staff. The app would show the maintenance person the issue with a photo, then when they visit the property they can log additional maintenance or cleaning issues, or resolve the issue and log a before and after photo and mark it complete. The app tracks their location also.

Internal User - User 3. Check-in staff. For the properties that don't have lockboxes a person would come to check the guest in. They would be able to see the guest details and the time the guest has requested to check-in. They would be able to approve or counter-propose a new time to meet the guest. They could lodge a cleaning issue or maintenance issue which then could be assigned to a cleaner or maintenance person.

External User - User 4: Guest/Customer. Guest is able to view the booking information (address, map, check-in date/check-out date), upload their ID and sign terms and conditions, view the house manual (wifi, parking instructions) and see the check-in instructions. If guest has paid the security deposit then depending on the property they can receive the lockbox code or request a check-in person to check them in (depending on the property) and see how far away they are on a map. After checking in they can lodge a maintenance request or cleaning request which then can be assigned to a cleaning staff or maintenance staff.
