Comprehensive Mobile App QA Evaluation

I need a seasoned QA specialist to put my mobile application through a thorough, real-world workout. Your primary mission is to run manual, exploratory tests, uncover defects, rank them by severity and business impact, and capture everything in a clear, shareable format that a developer can act on immediately.
Scope of work
• Execute manual testing that covers functionality, usability, performance, device and OS compatibility, and any obvious security red flags.
• Reproduce, isolate, and document each issue with concise steps, screenshots or screen recordings, environment details, and an objective severity/priority rating.
• Summarise overall app quality and release readiness.
• Outline which test flows you would automate first, the tooling you would choose (for example, Appium, XCUITest, Espresso, or an in-cloud device farm), and explain why those cases deserve automation based on risk, frequency, and regression value.
Deliverables
1. A defect log (spreadsheet or preferred tracking tool export) with IDs, titles, steps, expected vs actual results, severity, and device/OS details.
2. A short test summary report that highlights major patterns, root-cause clues, and quick-win improvements.
3. An automation roadmap: candidate test cases, tool stack recommendation, and estimated effort.
Acceptance criteria
• Every high-severity defect is reproducible from the steps provided.
• Reports use neutral, unambiguous language developers can act on without follow-up.
• Automation proposal is realistic for a small-to-mid-sized project and justifies ROI.
