iOS Ride-Sharing App Development -- 2
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m ready to move my ride-sharing concept from idea to a fully functioning iOS application. The app has to let riders book a trip, watch their driver approach in real time, and pay seamlessly inside the app. A straightforward email-and-password sign-up / login flow is all I need for launch—no social media logins for now.
Here’s the flow I’m picturing: a rider opens the app, enters pick-up and drop-off points, confirms the fare, and then tracks the driver on a live map until arrival. Once the ride wraps up, payment is processed in-app and a receipt is issued automatically. Everything should feel smooth, intuitive, and very “native iOS” in terms of design and performance.
You’d be responsible for:
• Building the iOS front end in Swift or SwiftUI (your call, as long as it’s modern and maintainable).
• Setting up real-time driver location updates—MapKit or a reliable third-party SDK is fine, provided the tracking is accurate.
• Integrating a secure payment gateway that supports Apple Pay along with major cards.
• Implementing the basic email/password authentication with encrypted credential storage.
• Wiring the whole thing into a simple, well-documented backend (Firebase, custom Node.js, or another stack you prefer).
Acceptance criteria:
1. An Xcode project that compiles and runs on the latest iOS version.
2. Working ride booking, driver tracking, payment, and email/password login flows demonstrated on TestFlight.
3. Clean, commented code plus brief setup docs so my in-house team can extend the project later.
