E-commerce Mobile App for Aquarium Store
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I'm seeking a proficient mobile app developer to create an e-commerce platform specifically for an aquarium store. The app's primary purpose will be to facilitate the sale of various products, including fish and aquatic animals, aquarium equipment, and fish food and water treatments.
Key Features:
- Customer Engagement: The app should include a loyalty rewards program to encourage repeat purchases, push notifications for promotional offers, and in-app chat support for customer service.
- E-commerce: A seamless, user-friendly online shopping experience is crucial. The app should support secure transactions, easy navigation, and a comprehensive product catalog.
Ideal Skills:
- Proven experience in mobile app development, preferably in creating e-commerce platforms.
- Familiarity with implementing customer engagement features within apps.
- Understanding of the e-commerce requirements for selling live animals and ensuring their welfare during the purchasing process.
We would like to have a section where the customer can input aquarium data such as water test results, algae growth, fish disease or loss, etc. and keep logs. If they bring their water into the store for testing, we would like to send the test results to their phone app where the results are logged or graphed, along with recommendations from us on how to solve issues. We would like an easy interface to upload current stock to the app from a PC or phone. For example if we get a shipment of tropical fish, coral, or new equipment, customers could look on their app to see what came in new that week, maybe even with links to purchase from our shopify site. the app should have notifications for new shipments, promotions, purchase links, etc. Focus on close integration between the store and the customer, bringing them back for all their aquarium needs.
Looking for a creative individual who has worked on similar projects, preferably someone with marine or freshwater experience or expertise. Would like to brain-storm ideas to reinvent the aquarium store's importance in the hobby, and keep people buying locally in our stores rather than online, a constant battle. Perhaps brainstorming new ideas, such as a "monthly subscription" or enhanced app offering for those looking for a more enhanced app experience, or access to particular deals/specials, or features.
We use shopify POS, and website, so the app should integrate with shopify.
other potential features: equipment purchase logging, aquarium water test logs (which could be entered by customer or by the store) ability for customer to log multiple aquariums in the app. (many customers have multiple tanks)
We have a store website, and we also have a website selling exclusively live-corals, & marinelife under a different name, for out of state customers, where we ship overnight.
current store website (limited e-commerce, focus is more on the local store) www.aqua-dreams.com
online aquatic marine-life e-commerce site: www.infinityreefs.com
The person should have a decent amount of Shopify knowledge as well, both our websites use shopify.
