blackberry Key 2 phone is not compatible with the RING app

I am having a problem with my Blackberry Key 2 phone not being compatible with the RING app. I have not tried any troubleshooting steps yet and the specific issue that I am encountering is that the app is not compatible with the operating system 8.1. I have not reached out to the RING app support team for assistance and so I am in need of someone who can help me figure out what the problem is.
