The Physician will order a medicine.
The system will check to make sure the intended medication is in stock.
if the medicine is out of stock system will automatically order the medicine and place the order back on the physician's work list and ask the physician to order an alternative medicine.
if the medicine will be available in stock the system will send the order to the pharmacy for processing.
A pharmacist will revalidate the order and make sure that it meets allergy, dose, and drug interaction guidelines. invalid order will be sent back to physician work list and a valid one will proceed.
The nurse will document that the drug has been administered.
