Video Dating App Development
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
Description:
I’m building an app called Breezy First Date — a new kind of dating experience where two people go on a guided 1-on-1 video date, complete with fun prompts, games, and conversation starters.
Right now, I’m looking for a developer to build a lightweight, no-login prototype that focuses exclusively on the “video date” experience — no user accounts, storage, or backend needed. Just a simple flow that lets two users test what the in-date experience will feel like.
What this prototype needs to do:
Let two users join a 1-on-1 video call using Ant Media Server (WebRTC SDK)
Display fun icebreakers, prompts, and games throughout the call
Example: “If you had to swap lives with any fictional character, who would it be?”
Include simple controls like “Next question” or “Start game”
Mobile-first layout with intuitive UI
Can be hosted locally or simply accessed via browser — doesn’t need to go to production
Tech Requirements:
Must have experience with Ant Media Server and WebRTC
JavaScript/TypeScript required
React preferred but not required
Minimal styling is fine — functionality over polish
Bonus: You use AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Codeium) as part of your workflow to move faster and work smarter
Estimated Time Breakdown (25–40 hours total):
6–10 hours: Setup and video integration using Ant Media
8–12 hours: Frontend UI and basic user interaction
6–10 hours: Prompt/game logic (load from array, click through, transitions)
5–8 hours: Testing, debugging, and mobile polish
Goal:
I want to test the actual experience of a Breezy date: does the video + structured prompts format feel fun and engaging? This is to validate the concept before investing in full development.
Compensation:
This is a fixed-price job, which is negotiable based on experience and speed. I’m looking for someone efficient and ideally able to re-use existing components if applicable.
