Smart home -- 2

I am looking to implement a smart home system in my residence, and am seeking assistance to help me make that a reality. Primarily, I am interested in home automation, and would like the system to be able to control the entirety of my home. I am open to suggestions as far as preferred brand for the devices required, but I need to be sure the system is able to support the needs of both my family and I.
