ScanSure MVP: Document Scanning App

Job ID: 39311117

Budget: ₹37,500 – ₹75,000 INR

Development Brief for ScanSure MVP

Objective:
Develop a mobile-first digital document scanning and management platform that enables CAJV field workers to securely locate, scan, and upload physical files while providing administrators with real-time visibility and control. The MVP must be delivered within 1 week with core functionality.

Technical Requirements:

1. Mobile Application (Android-first):
o Framework: React Native (cross-platform capable)
o Core Features:
▪ Task assignment dashboard with GPS-verified locations
▪ Document scanning using CamScanner API (auto-crop, preview, upload)
▪ Batch scanning with manual file naming / auto-name according to task.
▪ Offline mode with auto-sync capability
▪ Digital check-in/check-out with archive secretary
▪ Geolocation tagging for all scans
2. Admin Dashboard (Web):
o Framework: React.js
o Core Features:
▪ Real-time worker tracking (task status)
▪ Document verification interface
▪ Basic productivity reporting
▪ Role-based access (Admin)
3. Backend Services:
o API Gateway: Node.js/Python FastAPI
o Microservices Architecture:
▪ Task Management (dynamic assignment)
▪ Document Processing (upload/compression/metadata)
▪ Geo-Verification (location validation)
▪ Notification Service (alerts/updates) – not important
o Database: PostgreSQL (user profiles/task history)
o Storage: AWS S3 (encrypted with checksum validation) – encryption not important right now
4. Integrations:
o CamScanner API (scanning/OCR)
o Google Maps API (location services) – not high priority
o CAJV Case Management System (REST/GraphQL) – not needed at this stage
Workflow Specifications:

1. Field Worker Flow:
o Receive assigned tasks via app → Navigate to location (GPS-verified)
o Check-out files from on-site archive (digital secretary acknowledgment)
o Scan documents → Optimize/upload
o Check-in files → Mark task complete
2. Admin Flow:
o Assign tasks via dashboard → Monitor real-time progress
o Receive quality alerts → Approve/reject scans
o Generate basic reports (productivity/compliance)
Technical Constraints:

* Must function in low-connectivity areas (offline-first design) – not high priority
* Support Xiaomi Redmi 14C/Samsung A05 devices (105MP cameras)
* Maximum 200MB install size for mobile app
Testing Protocol:

o Validate CamScanner integration
o Test upload speeds/metadata tagging
o Verify offline functionality – not important
o Measure scan-to-upload time
Exclusions (Post-MVP):

* Advanced analytics
* Deep CMS integration
* AI-driven indexing
Success Metrics:

* 30% faster file processing vs manual
* <5% scan rejection rate
* 90%+ offline operation reliability
Additional Notes:

* Prioritize intuitive UI for low-literacy users
* Implement automatic file
