React Native Voice Modification Project
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Project
React Native project utilizing the @wdragon/react-native-voice open-source library (Modification Request)
Required Technical Skills
• Tech Stack:
• React Native
• TypeScript
• Swift or Objective-C (for iOS development)
• Java or Kotlin (for Android development)
Requirements1. Consistent Cross-Platform Functionality (iOS & Android)
All features must operate consistently on both iOS and Android.
1. Improvement of Speech-to-Text (STT) Processing
Currently, audio played from the device speaker is being picked up again by the microphone and processed as STT input.
We need to clearly distinguish between:
The sound coming from the speaker
The user’s voice captured by the microphone
Only the user’s voice should be processed by STT, while any audio output from the speaker must be excluded.
Implementation Approach1. Add Sound Separation Logic
Implement a method to remove or differentiate speaker output from the microphone input signal.
Utilize a technical approach to separate the user’s voice from the speaker audio.
You must write and run test code to ensure there are no operational issues
2. Verify Platform-Specific Handling
Perform comprehensive testing on both iOS and Android.
Ensure that identical or equivalent results are achieved across both platforms.
Expected Benefits1. Accurate Speech Input (STT) Even with Speaker Playback
Users can receive audio guidance or prompts through the speaker while still providing clear and accurate voice input for STT.
3. Enhanced User Experience
Improved STT accuracy leads to a smoother and more reliable user experience.
