React Native + Skia Project -- 2

REEKON Tools, one of the fastest growing startups in the Home Improvement and Construction space, is continuing to grow its remarkable hardware and software products offerings, with tens of thousands of products sold in major retailers across the globe. We are looking for an experienced developer for a 3–6-month engagement. You will work with a small team of Boston-based software engineers for this project. The ideal candidate must be experienced with Typescript, React Native, Firebase, and canvas/2D graphics. We have additional specifications available for applicants to review upon request.

Preferred Experience
• Creating and shipping cross-platform mobile applications with React Native
• Building animations and handling touch + gesture input with React Native/Reanimated
• UI, UX, interactivity design
• Experience making architectural recommendations (wireframes will be provided)
• Experience with Scrum
• GitLab + CI/CD + project management
• Experience with Jest testing framework
• Knowledge of/familiarity with Skia 2D graphics engine
• Firebase knowledge is a plus
• Fastlane experience is a plus
• BLE knowledge is a plus

The primary goal of this project is to create an interactive 2D canvas where users can add photos, text, shapes, and drawings to a canvas element. This feature is a critical component to the rest of the mobile application, which aims to augment the REEKON Tools hardware ecosystem by adding a set of collaborative software tools for use on a construction site.
