React Native (Expo) Developer for Twilio Voice & SMS Integration Finalization

Job ID: 39501197

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

Project Overview:
I’ve built a React Native app (Expo) that uses Twilio Client for in-app VoIP calls and Make.com scenarios for SMS/PSTN flows. Everything is wired up, but I need an experienced developer to squash the remaining issues and deliver a polished, production-ready mobile client for Android and iOS.

Scope of Work:

Twilio Voice Client

Finalize Access Token issuance (serverless function) and Expo app initialization

Ensure reliable incoming-call ringing, accept/reject UI, and native CallKeep integration

Implement outgoing VoIP calls (dial pad → TwilioVoice.connect) and call lifecycle handling

Push Notifications

Configure APNs & FCM credentials in Twilio Console and Expo project

Integrate expo-notifications (or PushKit) so calls and SMS wake the app when backgrounded

Test on real devices to confirm delivery

SMS Chat UI

Consume Make.com webhook–driven endpoints for inbound SMS

Build chat list and detail screens with send/receive functionality

Sync sent-message status and error handling

Debugging & Stability

Resolve “socket hang up” and debugger attach issues in VS Code

Clean up Metro/Expo configs for smooth one-click debugging

Optimize bundle size & performance

Documentation & Handover

Update README with setup steps (environment variables, push credentials, Expo commands)

Provide final source code, tested builds (APK/IPA), and any deployment scripts

Required Skills:

React Native & Expo (SDK > 50)

Twilio Programmable Voice & Messaging integration

Make.com (Integromat) webhook scenarios

Push notifications (APNs, FCM) in mobile apps

Serverless functions (AWS Lambda, Cloudflare Workers, etc.)

Debugging JS with VS Code (React Native Tools)

Git for version control

Deliverables & Timeline:

Fully functional Expo app for Android & iOS

Serverless token-issuer endpoint with secure env-var config

Push notifications working end-to-end

SMS chat screens with send/receive sync

Documentation and 1:1 handover session
