About our new opportunity:

This is an incredible opportunity for a Senior Android Developer/Contractor to join our agile team and deliver across the entire product life cycle – concept, build (code), deploy, test, release and maintain/support a great Android app. You will create an Android application based on iOS UI design for different screen dimensions and port already existing iOS futures into a new Android application.

The main responsibilities will include:

• Analyse requirements, provided by the Project Manager and collaborate with Senior iOS Engineer, Product Owner and UI/IX Designer to port the same design and futures from already existing an iOS application to the new Android application.
• Follow MVVM and define compatibility with iOS application architecture using the latest operating system
• Create migration scripts and routines to accurately transfer data between our applications
• Participate in peer reviews and pull requests to yield high-quality software
• Collaborate and work creatively with the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX)
teams to provide requirements traceability from definition to implementation
• Adhere to coding standards and other best practices to create reusable code
• Work alongside IoT Core to retrieve the data from the Android application
• Responsible for complying with the security requirements and ISO 27001 Security Roles,
Responsibilities, and Authorities Document found in the ISMS Document Library
• Develop a robust quality assurance process with a compatible testing tool

Key Experience:

• 4+ years’ experience developing native mobile Android applications is a must
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience programming in Java – expertise with Kotlin will be a
benefit
• Experience with converting iOS Applications to Android applications will be considered
an advantage
• Experienced in CI tools (Jenkins, Gitlab Pipelines)
• Understanding of architecture patterns such as Clean Architecture, MVP, and MVVM
• Experience with unit testing and test-driven development
• Experience in using dependency injection with Dagger 2
• Experience with TravisCI
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
• Experience with Android UI principles and best practices.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Experience working with Jetpack compose (must know at 
least the basic concept)
• Experience with deploying apps on Google Play store
