Multi-Vendor Delivery App Suite

Job ID: 40490612

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I am building a full-scale, South Africa–focused delivery platform that mirrors the customer, driver and merchant experience of Zulzi or Mr D. The scope covers four components: a customer-facing app, a driver app, a merchant app, and a web-based admin dashboard.

Core workflow
• Customers browse vendor catalogues, add items to a cart, pay securely through PayFast, and follow their order on a live GPS map until delivery.
• Merchants manage menus or product lists, receive and accept orders, track fulfilment, run occasional promotional campaigns and view performance reports.
• Drivers receive the closest jobs, navigate via turn-by-turn directions, update delivery status in real time and collect proof of delivery.
• The admin dashboard centralises user management, vendor onboarding, order oversight, finance reconciliation, analytics and support tools.

Required feature set
– Secure registration/login, profile management and KYC where needed
– Product and inventory management with variant support
– Cart, coupon/promo engine for time-bound campaigns, VAT-inclusive pricing in ZAR
– PayFast SDK/REST integration for cards, Instant EFT and Scan-to-Pay, with payment status webhooks returned to the backend
– Real-time GPS tracking using Google Maps or Mapbox, ETA calculation and geo-fencing for driver allocation
– Order lifecycle management with status updates pushed to customers and merchants
– Email and SMS notifications at key milestones (order placed, accepted, out for delivery, delivered)
– Rating and review flow for both drivers and vendors
– Promotions dashboard for merchants and admin (schedule discounts, spotlight deals, bundles)
– Sales, customer and driver performance reporting, exportable to CSV/PDF
– Comprehensive logging, role-based access control and GDPR/POPIA-aware data handling

Deliverables
1. Production-ready Android and iOS builds for the three apps, submitted to Play Store and App Store under my accounts
2. Responsive admin dashboard deployed to my cloud host (AWS, GCP or Azure)
3. REST/GraphQL API with documentation, database schema and Infra-as-Code scripts
4. Source code repository (Git) with CI/CD pipeline, unit/integration tests and hand-over documentation
5. Two-week post-launch support for bug fixes and deployment assistance

Acceptance criteria
• All PayFast payment flows complete successfully in sandbox and live modes.
• GPS tracking shows driver movement in <10-second intervals and auto-updates order status.
• Order confirmation, dispatch and delivery emails/SMS arrive within 30 seconds of the trigger event.
• Admin reports generate accurate daily revenue, commission and VAT totals.

If you have a proven track record delivering multi-vendor or on-demand logistics apps and can commit to an agreed timeline, let’s discuss tech stack, milestones and go-live dates.
