About the Project
I am a junior resident (physician in training) looking to develop a HIPAA-compliant mobile app that helps patients who have suffered a heart attack better understand their condition, treatment, and rehabilitation. The app will serve as an educational tool and a health tracker, allowing doctors to monitor patient progress while empowering patients with critical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop a user-friendly, secure, and scalable mobile application (Android & iOS).
• Integrate educational content (videos, text, and images) to teach patients about coronary artery disease and cardiac rehabilitation.
• Implement patient data collection features (age, medical history, medications, allergies, etc.).
• Develop health tracking functionality (exercise logs, blood pressure, heart rate, and other vitals).
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and strong data security measures.
• Create an authentication system for patients and doctors.
• Develop a survey/feedback system to assess the app’s impact.
• Work closely with me to refine and improve app features.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
• Proven experience in mobile app development (iOS/Android).
• Proficiency in Flutter, React Native, or native development (Swift/Kotlin).
• Experience with secure database management (Firebase, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare app regulations.
• Strong understanding of API integration and backend development.
• Prior experience in developing health-related apps is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and deliver a high-quality, functional prototype within an agreed timeline.
Additional Considerations
• Future updates may include wearable device integration (smartwatches, BP monitors, etc.), AI-powered health insights, and a chatbot for patient queries.
• Open to long-term collaboration if the initial development is successful.
