UI/UX Designer Required for Health & Fitness App (React Native)
We are only seeking designers whom have a proven portfolio of Health and Fitness apps only.
We are seeking an experienced UI/UX designer to take our existing mockups as a reference and design the app from the ground up, ensuring it meets best practices, industry standards, and development requirements.
There are 13 main app screens to be designed in addition to an onboarding flow, and also a number of basic profile screens reset password, change email address etc.
This health and fitness app will be available on iOS and Android and built using React Native.
We require a designer to translate our existing mockups into a fully polished, developer ready UI, creating a structured design system, component library, user flow diagram, and
clear handoff documentation for the development team.
The brand identity, colour palette, typography, and visual guidelines have already been
established. However, we need a designer to lead the full UI/UX design process, ensuring usability, accessibility, and technical feasibility while aligning with iOS Human Interface guidelines and Android Material Design.
While front-end development skills are not required, the designer must have experience
working closely with developers and QA teams. Regular collaboration with the
development and QA teams is required three times per week to track progress, provide
clarifications, and ensure smooth implementation.

Scope of Work
1. Designing the Full UI/UX from Scratch (Using Existing Mockups as a Reference)
• Design and refine all screens, creating a polished, high-quality user interface
• Ensure compliance with iOS and Android UI best practices, ensuring an intuitive
experience on both platforms
• Optimise navigation, layouts, and interactions for usability and accessibility
• Provide detailed specifications for spacing, padding, font sizes, button states, form
interactions, and micro-interactions
• Design custom SVG assets (icons, illustrations) aligned with the brand identity
2. Developing a Comprehensive UI Component Library
• Build a scalable, reusable component system (buttons, cards, modals, typography,
forms, input fields, etc.)
• Ensure consistency and modularity across all app screens
• Document states, variations, and interactions for each component
• Ensure compatibility with React Native development by structuring components
efficiently
3. Creating an Interactive Figma Prototype
• Develop a fully interactive prototype showcasing all user flows and interactions
• Implement native platform behaviours for smooth, realistic interactions
• Provide a prototype that allows QA and developers to fully visualise and test flows
4. Delivering Developer-Ready Assets & Styling Guidelines
• Provide a structured Figma file, with all screens, components, and interactions neatly
organised
• Supply React Native-friendly styling guidelines, including:
o Typography, spacing, paddings, and margins
o Component states (default, hover, active, disabled)
o Animations and transition behaviours
• Export SVGs, icons, and images in appropriate formats and resolutions (@2x, @3x for
iOS, density-independent pixels for Android)
5. Creating a User Flow Diagram
• Develop a clear and structured user flow diagram mapping out:
o Core navigation pathways
o Interaction points and transitions
o Key decision-making moments in the user journey
6. Documentation for Developers
• Compile a comprehensive design system document outlining:
o Component usage guidelines
o Design tokens and scalable elements
o Platform-specific considerations for React Native development
7. Ongoing Collaboration with Development and QA Teams
• Meet with the development and QA teams three times per week to:
o Track progress and review implementation
o Identify and resolve discrepancies between design and development
o Provide guidance and clarifications on UI decisions
• Be available to adjust and refine designs based on technical feasibility
• Ensure QA has all necessary references to validate UI implementation
Deliverables
1. Full UI/UX design from scratch, using existing mockups as a reference
2. Figma file with all finalised screens, UI components, and interactions
3. Complete UI component library, with all reusable design elements and guidelines
4. Interactive Figma prototype, demonstrating app functionality and user flows

• Proven experience in mobile UI/UX design for both iOS and Android
• Proficiency in Figma, with a strong focus on reusable components and structured file
organisation

• Knowledge of iOS and Android UI design principles, ensuring platform-appropriate
experiences
