Future City Land Mapping App

Job ID: 39368035

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

# App Description for Developers

--"We will prepare all geographic data for the new districts using QGIS. This includes drawing district boundaries and land plots over real-world maps (e.g., satellite imagery). For each district, we’ll assign a unique name. For every land plot, we’ll include: internal ID (starting from 1 per district), government land ID, land type (residential/commercial/etc.), and area size. We’ll send you clean GeoJSON files (WGS84 coordinates) for districts and land plots. You’ll use these files to build the app’s map, search, and user features.

## Overview
We are building a **land search and mapping application** that displays newly planned districts on top of real-world maps. These districts currently exist only as undeveloped land but will grow into future cities. The app will help users locate, view, and explore these new districts on a live map.

The app will be developed for **Windows (web browser)**, **Android**, and **iOS** platforms.

## Key Features

- **Base Maps**:
- Primary options: **Google Roadmap** and **Google Satellite Map** as basemap.
- If Google Maps is too costly, we will use **free open-source basemap** (such as OpenStreetMap or alternatives).

- **District and Land Data**:
- Custom district maps created using **QGIS**.
- Each **district** will have:
- A **unique district name**.
- Each **land plot** inside a district will have:
- **Internal land ID number** (starting from 1 within each district).
- **Official government land ID**.
- **Area** size.
- **Land type** (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.).

- **Search Functionality**:
- User selects a **district name** first.
- Then, the user enters a **land ID** to search.
- App **pins the land's location** on the map.
- App **displays land details** (ID, government ID, area, land type, etc.).

- **Map Controls**:
- A **button** to **toggle** between **roadmap** view and **satellite** view.
- An option to **lock the selected district**, so all searches are limited to the chosen district until changed.

- **Accounts**:
- Each user will **have their own account** to log in and use the app.

- **Important Notes**:
- Land ID numbers **restart at 1** inside every district.
(Same land ID number may exist in different districts, so district selection is mandatory before searching.)

## Platform Requirements

- **Windows Web Application** (responsive, similar to Google Maps).
- **Android Mobile App**.
- **iOS Mobile App**.
