Fun & Playful Dance App Design

Job ID: 38435516

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

User Flow:

User selects a dance challenge from the available options.
The app displays the reference dance video and a silhouette or stick figure model demonstrating the correct form.
The user's camera feed is shown in a split-screen or picture-in-picture view, allowing them to see themselves alongside the reference performance (select an option or prepare both screens)
The challenge begins, and the app starts analyzing the user's movements using pose estimation technology.

Real-time Feedback and Scoring:

Accuracy Scoring:

The app continuously compares the user's joint positions and body angles to the reference dance move.
A real-time accuracy score is displayed, ranging from 0% to 100%, reflecting how closely the user is matching the original dance.
The score updates dynamically as the user's movements deviate from or align with the reference.

Visual Feedback:

When the user's movements are close to the reference, the app should provide positive visual cues, such as:

Glowing outlines or highlights around the user's joints and limbs (any ideas?)
Rhythmic beat indicators or sparkle effects in time with the music
Growing "accuracy" meters or on-screen animations

When the user's movements deviate from the reference, the app should provide negative visual cues, such as:

Flashing or dimming outlines around the user's joints and limbs
Subtle visual distortions or blurring effects
Shrinking "accuracy" meters or on-screen animations

Audio Feedback:

The app should play upbeat, motivating background music that adapts to the user's movement accuracy.
When the user is performing well, the music should become more energetic and dynamic.
If the user's accuracy drops, the music should become more subdued or have subtle dissonant elements.
Periodic audio cues (e.g., cheers, applause) can reinforce positive performance moments.

Scoring Thresholds:

The app should have defined accuracy thresholds to determine the user's overall performance:

90-100%: "Nailed It!" (Highest score)
80-89%: "Great Job!"
60-79%: "Keep Practicing!"
0-59%: "Try Again"

These thresholds should be visually represented and communicated to the user during and after the challenge.

Post-Challenge Features:

Replay and Sharing:

The app should allow users to view a replay of their dance performance.
Users should be able to share their challenge results on social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) with options to include their accuracy score, leaderboard position, and relevant hashtags.

Leaderboards and Challenges:

The app should maintain global and friends-only leaderboards, showcasing the top scorers for each dance challenge.
Users should be able to directly challenge their friends to beat their scores.
Periodic in-app notifications can inform users of new top scores or challenge updates from their friends.

Progression and Rewards:

The app should track the user's personal bests and overall performance history.
As users complete challenges and improve their scores, they should earn virtual rewards, such as:

Ideal Skills:
- Proficiency in UI/UX design, particularly for mobile applications.
- Experience with creating playful and vibrant designs.
- Excellent understanding of Figma or similar tools.
