Flutter Developer for Health Data App (Android & iOS) using Health Connect SDK

Job Description:
We are building a cross-platform health tracking app focused on collecting health metrics from wearables and storing them securely for further analysis. We're looking for an experienced Flutter developer who can build a production-grade mobile app that integrates with Google Health Connect SDK (for Android) and optionally Apple HealthKit (iOS).
Project Scope:
Frontend: Flutter Mobile App (Android & iOS)


Integrate with Google Health Connect SDK to fetch:


Steps


Heart Rate


Calories Burned


Workout Type and Units (e.g. running in km, strength training in sets)


Build a clean UI to display health metrics before pushing


Make secure HTTP POST requests to a backend API with health data


Provide permissions handling and data sync feedback


Backend API (Already planned, written in Python Flask)


You just need to integrate with it securely from the app


Database (PostgreSQL)


Backend stores the incoming data into a PostgreSQL DB (handled separately)


What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience with Flutter app development


Strong understanding of Health Connect SDK (Android) is essential


Bonus if you have worked with iOS HealthKit


Good understanding of secure data handling and RESTful API integration


Experience in publishing apps on Play Store / App Store is a plus
