I'm looking to hire a skilled and experienced developer to enhance my existing MIT App Inventor project, TalkToMe. The app currently utilizes voice recognition to listen to user commands and responds via Text-to-Speech. However, it requires key improvements and feature additions to reach production quality.
Key Objectives:
Extend Speech Recognition Duration: Prevent early cut-off during voice input to improve user experience.
Add Advanced Voice Commands: Implement functionality for:
Weather updates
News headlines
Alarm setting and management
Complete Screen2 Functionality: Build out the second screen with relevant features and a consistent UI/UX.
Enable Background Operation: Allow the app to run in the background and respond to commands even when minimized.
Overlay & Multitasking Support: Enable voice command functionality while the app is running over or alongside other applications.
Monetization Integration: Implement in-app advertising or other monetization strategies in preparation for Google Play publishing.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in MIT App Inventor
Hands-on experience with voice recognition and Text-to-Speech APIs
Demonstrated background in mobile app development and Google Play Store deployment
Understanding of mobile monetization strategies (e.g., AdMob, in-app purchases)
