Development of Web Platform and Mobile App for Marketplace
We require a programmer with experience in developing e-commerce and auction platforms or someone with a high learning capacity to develop a robust and scalable system.
The project involves developing two main elements:
A Website with:
a. User Account Page for buying and selling, where each profile can have:
Choose whether the profile is for a person or a company.
Rating system with 1-5 stars.
View purchase and sales history.
View active listings of products.
Verification ticket option for individuals (not for companies).
b. Backend for Administration.
A Mobile App for Android and iOS
The goal is to create an innovative marketplace that combines two types of sales, where sellers can choose to sell in one of these two ways:
Traditional sales with a "buy now" price.
Auction system, where:
There is a starting price.
A set auction duration.
A "current bid" display.
A "buy now" price option.
The auction can end when someone purchases through "buy now" or when the set time expires. Or the seller can close the auction early if they like the current bid price.
The winning bidder must pay after the auction ends.
Main Required Features
Traditional purchase system and purchase + auction system.
When they win an auction, immediately pops up to pay whatever he bid.
Notification to the seller/buyer/admins when an auction ends.
Ability for the seller to close the sale early if they receive a satisfactory bid.
Display of bid history and current bid price below the product.
A dedicated "Auctions" category showing all auction-listed products.
ALL THE PAYMENT PROCESS IS PROVIDED BY AN EXTERNAL PROVIDER, AND WE JUST NEED TO SHOW A PAYMENT LINK THEY PROVIDE us. When the customers click that link, they are presented with a popup from that provider, where payment is done. When a payment has been made, the third-party company sends some sort of “payment done ok” return to us. At this time, we inform the customer of the process success, and the backend registers the account as “paid” or “payment pending”, and if there is a successful payment, the admins and seller get a message to prepare the product, and sent it to the customer.
Users can create a favorite products list (product targets).

Popup product advertisements within the website/app to promote internal products.
Three types of products sales:
Bronze (free).
Silver
Gold
Silver and Gold offer benefits like increased advertisement exposure, taking a % of the sale, so it's EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to have the chance to take a % of the sale by the admins if they choose that sale with that status. Silver and gold are different % each.
Admin System with Special Permissions
Account Management: Create, delete, freeze, and reactivate accounts.
Data Editing: Modify account and product details.
Basic Customer Statistics (simple insights).
Discount Code Creation.
Technical Requirements
Development using modern and scalable technologies.
Structured database to manage users, products, and transactions.
Ability to host on a cloud server (AWS, Google Cloud, or similar).
Secure authentication and transactions.
CRUCIAL!!!!!: Responsive and user-friendly interface, similar to Mercado Libre (https://www.mercadolibre.cl/) and Catawiki (https://www.catawiki.com/es)
Development Options & Pricing Request
We are looking for two pricing options to evaluate development costs and timelines:
Customize an existing e-commerce & auction platform to fit our needs.
Develop a fully custom system from scratch, including database and business logic.
Project Documentation Requirement
Upon project completion, apart from a backup of the code for both the website and apps, the developer must provide a technical document explaining all coding modules, their functions, and interactions to facilitate future updates or modifications.
