PROJECT OVERVIEW

We are developing a compact, battery-powered device designed to track usage patterns of a mechanical system in a residential setting. The device will record motion-based events and transmit that data wirelessly to a mobile application for users to monitor system health and receive alerts.



WHAT WE NEED DEVELOPED

1. Hardware & Firmware
• Microcontroller with BLE capability (ESP32 family preferred)
• Motion sensor integration (accelerometer/gyroscope)
• Power-efficient firmware to track defined motion events
• BLE broadcasting: device ID and event counter
• Optional: Wi-Fi or cloud sync capability

2. Mobile App (iOS + Android)
• Cross-platform (Flutter or React Native)
• BLE connection and QR code scan to identify devices
• Display tracked event count and general system health
• Optional profile creation for remote access and notifications

3. Cloud Backend (Firebase/Supabase preferred)
• UID-based device tracking
• User profile integration and alert triggers
• Basic dashboard/API for data access and customer management

4. Admin Dashboard (Web)
• View multiple tracked units
• Manage alerts and user profiles
• Optional device claim/unclaim functionality

5. Enclosure & Hardware Fit
• Design a custom plastic enclosure to house ESP32 board, motion sensor, and battery
• Must allow for:
• Clean adhesive-based mounting to flat surfaces
• QR code visibility on external face
• Optional screw or snap-fit access to internal components
• Compact form factor matching provided mockups
• Deliverables include:
• STL files for 3D printing
• Source files for revisions and manufacturing prep
