Cross-Platform Xamarin Developer Needed
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Hello,
I currently have a couple of apps that are based on Xamarin. One in particular, SENSR-LOGR, that I need a few simple updates on to bridge the gap for right now and to be done in a rather quick and low cost method. After bridging this gap for the SENSR-LOGR I want to take a step back and consider whether it is best to update this app to Maui.net or to switch over to a new platform which I would expect to be Flutter.
That being said the I have attached what I am calling Phase 1.1 improvement spec for the SENSR-LOGR. The updates are rather straight forward but are needed to get these updates to builds that can be published to the App Store and iOS.
To be up front with my current situation the mobile dev group I have been working with previously is trying to tell me that to implement these Phase 1.1 updates the whole app needs to be converted to Maui.net and it will add a large cost to what has already been proposed for Phase 1.1. From everything I have read there is NOT a requirement to update immediately to Maui.net just to make updates to existing Xamarin Apps to be able to publish to the App Store and Google Play. I have a hunch this is being indicated to add significant cost to the development.
All that said I ran across your website and would like to get your take on this scenario as you clearly discuss the Xamarin to Maui.net transition so it would seem you have experience with Xamarin to begin with and secondarily I also noted that you have Flutter expertise.
Again to recap I really don’t want to spend an large amount of money to upgrade the current SENSR-LOGR app to Maui.net when the current changes I need are rather simple. I just want to get these updates made and THEN take a look at whether it makes sense to move forward with performing an complete update on the SENSR-LOGR app to Maui.net OR whether it would be better served to take that development cost of the conversion to Maui.net and use it to migrate the entire app to a platform that from everything I have read and am aware of will provide much easier development path forward which is Flutter.
This app heavily relies on Bluetooth Low Energy and requires high throughput of BLE connections and also requires allowing multiple BLE connections up to 5 connections but could support more the problem is bandwidth starts to run out after more than 5 BLE connections to my SFM2 9DOF wearable IMU product. The BLE portion of the App works quite well and would not need touched/improved for Phase 1.1 BUT I need it to be understood that any Development Team I would have working on this app would need to have a solid understanding of Bluetooth Low Energy and ability to use Native BLE support from Android and iOS.
SENSR-LOGR Mobile App can be found on the App Store and Google Play. You can either search for Sensor Maestros or SENSR-LOGR
Is there a day time that would work for you to have a brief call to discuss? Additionally can you let me know what your availability to start work on a project such as this would be? Ideally I would like to get someone started ASAP to handle the Phase 1.1 updates. I am located in Denver CO and am in the Mountain time zone. Please let me know a suitable time to discuss.
