Android Application Development

We’re seeking an experienced mobile and backend developer (or team) to build a driver-focused fuel tracking application with a web-based admin panel for our office staff. This project involves mobile app development (Android/iOS), OCR/ML integration, data synchronization, and automated comparison of refueling data with external invoices from the DKV fuel card system.


✅ Project Scope
Driver Mobile App (Android & iOS)
• Capture geolocation and timestamp when a driver takes a photo of a fuel pump
• Use OCR/ML to automatically detect the fuel amount from the image (no manual entry)
• Let drivers select:
o Fuel type: Diesel, Fridge Diesel, AdBlue
o Fuel card type
• Store the captured data securely on a server
• Calculate actual fuel cost using internal formulas (from our Excel sheet) + fuel prices scraped from the DKV site daily
• Show a daily/weekly fuel price ranking per country, based on average actual prices
• Access a clickable map link with preferred fuel stations (Google Maps List)
• In-app messaging system (text, URLs, documents)
• Access a knowledge base (PDFs, manuals, instructions, site rules, etc.)
• Fill out and submit various forms:
o Walkaround check
o Damage report
o Temperature control
o Accident report
Admin Panel (Web App)
• User login & role management
• Manage drivers, fuel records, and app settings
• Upload DKV invoices (Excel format)
• Comparison tool to highlight mismatches between DKV invoice and app-collected data by:
o Date/time
o Fuel amount
o Location
o Fuel type
• Manage form templates and submissions
• View fuel price rankings and associated cost calculations
• Schedule and send in-app messages to drivers

• OCR/ML model to extract numeric data (fuel liters) from pump photos
• Secure API to send/receive data between app and server
• Fuel price scraping logic from DKV website (daily) - Completed and Cdoe Ready
• Data reconciliation logic to match app-collected data with invoice data
• Server, database, domain, and deployment must be fully accessible and controlled by us

1. Admin Panel + Basic API – Login, fuel data endpoints (6 days)
2. Full App Development – UI/UX, all core features (10 days)
3. ML Integration & Finalization – OCR, invoice comparison, fuel ranking (12–15 days)

• The app must be scalable for future additions (e.g., document libraries, new reporting forms)
• You must clarify whether the app will be native or hybrid, and who controls deployment
• We prefer cost-effective proposals, ideally under 1,50,000 INR total.
