Minecraft Skyblock Server Build
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m launching a brand-new Skyblock experience and need an expert who can take the server from blank canvas to live-ready as soon as possible. The work spans everything from the initial install to fine-tuning gameplay so players stay engaged long-term.
Scope
• Stand up and configure the Minecraft server (preferred stack is Paper or Purpur, but I’m open if you have a better suggestion).
• Develop any custom plugins required to deliver a unique Skyblock twist—nothing bloated, just clean, efficient code that plays nicely with popular utilities like EssentialsX, LuckPerms, and PlaceholderAPI.
• Balance core mechanics (island economy, ore generation, challenges, shop prices, prestige paths) so progression feels rewarding without becoming pay-to-win.
• Optimise performance, making sure TPS holds under typical player loads and redstone/auto-farm limits are sensible.
• Document everything so future updates—or the additional game modes I’ve got planned—slot in smoothly.
Must-haves
– Fluency with modern Minecraft server architecture (1.20+ preferred).
– Proven record building or optimising Skyblock or similar survival gametypes.
– Ability to work fast: I’d like an initial playable build online within a week, then iterate to polish.
– Clear communication; I’m in UTC-5 but can adjust for key checkpoints.
Deliverables
1. Fully configured Skyblock server files ready to upload to my host.
2. Source code for any custom plugins, with basic comments and a compiled JAR.
3. Setup guide covering dependencies, commands, and future expansion notes.
4. One week of post-launch bug-squash support.
If this sounds like your arena, tell me about a Skyblock (or comparable) project you’ve shipped recently and your typical turnaround for similar scopes. Let’s craft something players will remember.
