Minecraft AI Mod Development
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I'm embarking on a project to incorporate generative AI tools into games for UGC applications. My concept revolves around designing a Minecraft mod that empowers players to generate new block materials within the game. I've already developed an AI model hosted on an HTTP server that takes a text prompt and generates a 16x16 pixel Minecraft texture PNG.
I envisage the primary workflow for this mod as follows: the player submits a text prompt via a chat or text box; this triggers an HTTP request to my server (~10 second duration); the player then receives the resulting image, which is subsequently rendered by a block renderer entity, giving the appearance of the block being made of this new material. Does this proposition sound feasible to you? Do you think you have the expertise to tackle such a project?
My ultimate goal is to create a functioning Minecraft mod, specifically for the Java edition, where players have the ability to construct a block and then, via the chat function, apply a dynamically generated texture to it based on their specified prompt. When a new block is added, it should carry over the previously used texture, unless a new prompt is input. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this.
