Windows Disk Overuse Impairs Function

My windows laptop (Inspiron) is operating very slowly. Under task manager, it shows 100% of disk usage at times. It is intermittent. I am trying to run power bi at it consumes 70-80% of 8 Gb memory. Hard disk is 1Tb and less than 10% is used. Windows 10 is updated. Help. Time critical.
