Microsoft Word Content Analysis Add-On
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
I'm looking for a skilled developer to create an add-on for Microsoft Word. This plugin needs to be specifically focused on content analysis functions.
Key requirements:
- Development of an extension for Microsoft Word that facilitates content analysis
- Seamless integration with the user interface of Word
- User-friendly design and easy accessibility within the Word environment
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and its add-on development
- Strong background in content analysis and text processing
- UI/UX expertise for creating intuitive and accessible add-ons
- Solid understanding of software development and integration with existing platforms
- Effective communication skills to ensure the add-on meets the specified requirements.
Note that the document formatting functionality should NOT be a focus of this project. The priority is on content analysis.
Here's a scope of work:
Objective
We need a word add-on that will have a side panel with 2 tabs:
1/ One containing field input suggestions
- show our input suggestion for each input field, alongside a button to inject the suggestion into the field. These suggestions would be fetched through API calls to our servers.
- show, for each suggestion, from which document we extracted the information (pdf file, or screenshot, or text paragraph with the relevant information highlighted)
2/ One listing all the checks our system has performed and throwing out alerts
- a list of checks that were performed for a specific sub section of the document
- for each verification we want to be able to signal whether it was a pass, fail or whether we couldn't perform a specific check
- we also want the ability to highlight a section title or specific paragraph with a comment in which we would inject some text
Some technical questions/considerations
- the add on would likely need to interplay with another add-on, is that possible? If so what info would you need on this add on? Its not ours / proprietary
- expiration of log-ins / how do we do identification?
- can we go through marketplace or does it need to be an .exe (are add-ons published and distributed through the marketplace more limited in terms of functionalities, than .exe)
- can we display any type of media? We want the user to be able to "audit" the suggestions of our system by checking the source document. Can we do pdfs? iframes etc.?
- Can the add on modify the underlying xml?
