Looking for help with MS ClickOnce Installation using EV Code Signing Certificate
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I have a ClickOnce installer that I want to apply an EV Code Signing certificate to. I am using Visual Studio 2022 and can't choose the EV certificate for the Publish Configuration. I'm assuming because it is a hardware token. I have an OV code signing certificate as well which can be used to sign the package but then it generates SmartScreen Warnings so that's no good.
I am able to work around it by signing the package with the OV certificate and then manually signing the exes with the EV certificate but I'd like to talk with someone more experienced with this to see if this is the best approach.
To clarify, I have an OV pfx code signing certificate and I have an EV Code Signing certificate on a hardware token which can't be installed to a computer. I think we should be able to address this in an hour or two tops.
