How to Sign a Kernel Driver for Windows 7 using EV Certificate
Budget: $10 – $30 CAD
I am looking for someone to guide me in signing a kernel driver for Windows 7 using an Extended Validation (EV) Certificate. The authentication protocol to be used is Code Signing and the Operating System will be Windows 7. The goal of this project is to lay out guidelines, provide instruction and support in completing the signing process.
I have already signed my Kernel Driver using an EV Certificate for Windows 10 and 11.
However I cannot find how to do this for Windows 7.
I have tried to run the currently signed driver on Windows 7 and it shows a message saying that it is not authorized to run. This I have read also via the Microsoft Docs. Apparently Windows 7 requires a different approach.
I am looking for someone who "has already" signed a Windows 7 Driver using an EV Certificate, to explain to me, and show me, how to do it.
The deliverables for this project include outlining the steps for signing the driver, providing detailed instructions and assistance with any other issues. Strong knowledge of Code Signing and certificates, as well as experience with Windows 7, is required in order to complete the project successfully.
