Fix Numbered List in Word

I need assistance with formatting a numbered list in a Microsoft Word document. It should be sequentially numbered 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, etc., but currently misnumbers as 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, 8.2, 8.3, 9.5, etc.
