Printed Documents Retyping & Formatting
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I have a collection of printed pages that must be converted into clean, editable text. Scanning and basic OCR have not produced the accuracy I need, so every word now has to be re-typed manually.
Accuracy is paramount: spelling, punctuation, and line breaks must mirror the originals, and I will supply a short style sheet that covers headings, font sizes, margin settings, and how to treat tables or bullet points. I will send these guidelines along with PDFs of the source pages as soon as we begin.
You can work in Microsoft Word or Google Docs—whichever lets you replicate the layout most efficiently—just keep change-tracking on so I can see any questions or uncertainties you flag.
Deliverables
• A fully formatted editable file for each source document
• A brief log of any sections that were unclear or illegible
Before final hand-over, I will spot-check a few pages; the project is complete once those checks match the originals perfectly and the formatting matches the style sheet. If that sounds straightforward, let’s get started.
