Novel Proofreading and Conversion

I’m preparing my completed manuscript for digital and print release and need a fresh set of expert eyes before I hit “publish.” The draft has already gone through developmental editing; what I need now is a meticulous proof-read that also keeps an eye on how the text will behave once it is converted to e-book formats.

Here’s what I’m after:
• A line-by-line sweep for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.
• A quick flag on any style, tone, or timeline inconsistencies you happen to notice while proofreading.
• Attention to formatting quirks that can trip up EPUB/MOBI conversion—extra spaces, hard line breaks, inconsistent chapter headers, scene breaks, and so on.

Please work in Microsoft Word using Track Changes. When you’re done, send back two files: one clean copy and one showing all edits and comments. If you have InDesign or Vellum experience, feel free to mention it, but Word is the only mandatory tool.

I’ll provide the manuscript immediately on award. Turnaround of about two weeks would be ideal, but let me know if you need a little longer.
