Manual Formatting in Word Expert Needed

Job ID: 40500234

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’ve completed the content of a company manual/handbook, but it still looks like a rough draft. I need a Microsoft Word specialist to transform the document into a polished, easy-to-navigate resource.

What I need done
• Apply consistent Styles so every heading, sub-heading, body paragraph, table and list follows a clean, branded look I can reuse in future documents.
• Create a dynamic multi-level Table of Contents that updates automatically as pages shift.
• Design professional Headers and Footers with page numbers, document title, and section names, all linked to the Style hierarchy so new sections pick up the correct label.
• Fine-tune spacing, margins, and section breaks so the manual prints and exports to PDF without stray blank pages or broken lines.

Deliverables
1. Fully formatted .docx file with live Styles, TOC, headers and footers.
2. Print-ready PDF for immediate distribution.
3. Brief “style guide” (one page) listing the custom Styles you created and how to apply them, so I can maintain consistency when I update the handbook.

Acceptance criteria
• The TOC updates correctly when I press F9.
• Headers/footers show the right section title on every page.
• No manual line breaks or hard-coded page numbers.
• Document passes Word’s “Inspect Document” check with no hidden issues.

If you know Word inside out—including section breaks, field codes, and style inheritance—this should be straightforward. Turn-around within a few days would be ideal; let me know your estimated timeline when you reply.
