KDP Novel Formatting, 114k Words

I have a completed 114,000-word novel in Microsoft Word that now needs to be prepared for self-publishing on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). The manuscript is written and lightly edited; what I need is clean, consistent interior formatting so the file uploads to KDP without warnings and looks professional on every device.

Key tasks
• Apply standard KDP-friendly layout settings (trim size, margins, paragraph styles, line spacing, widow-orphan control).
• Re-style all chapter headings so each appears with uniform font, size, spacing, and automatic page break before the heading.
• Identify and remove any stray or unwanted manual page breaks that disrupt the flow.

Deliverable
A single, ready-to-upload .docx file (and, if you prefer, a Kindle-Create-optimized .kpf) that passes the KDP previewer with no layout issues.
