Format & Upload Novel to KDP
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
My novel is already written in Microsoft Word and the cover artwork is finished, yet I’m not completely certain it meets Amazon KDP’s paperback requirements. I’d like someone to step in, fine-tune the files, and walk them all the way through the KDP upload process.
Here’s what I need:
• Re-format the Word manuscript to comply with KDP’s paperback specs at a 6 x 9-inch trim size (proper margins, headers/footers, front-matter order, page numbering, bleed where necessary, embedded fonts, etc.).
• Convert the interior into a print-ready PDF that passes KDP’s previewer without flagged issues.
• Adapt or verify my existing cover so it wraps correctly for 6 x 9, including spine width, barcode area, and safe zones, then output a press-ready PDF.
• Upload both files to my KDP dashboard, fill in the technical fields as we agree, and stay available until KDP approves the paperback without revision requests.
I’ll provide the Word document, the cover artwork assets, and account access (or we can screenshare if you prefer). Experience with KDP formatting tools—InDesign, Affinity Publisher, Vellum, or similar—will be valuable, as long as the final files pass Amazon’s quality check.
