Book Manuscript Chicago Formatting

Job ID: 40058281

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I have a complete book manuscript in raw text that now needs to be professionally typed and laid out in strict Chicago style. The core of the work is formatting—margins, headings, typefaces, spacing—so the document looks press-ready, while also preparing a proper Chicago-style title page. Footnotes and a bibliography are not required at this stage, though I may add them later, so maintaining clean, consistent styles in the Word template will be helpful for future expansion.

What I’ll hand over: the unformatted text (Word or Google Docs) plus any front-matter notes I already have.
What I need back:
• A fully typed and formatted Word file following Chicago Manual of Style guidelines, including a polished title page.
• A print-friendly PDF exported from the same file so I can review pagination.

Please keep all Chicago conventions intact—fonts, alignment, page numbering—and run a quick spelling and style check before delivery. If you’ve handled book interiors or academic manuscripts before, that experience will be invaluable, and I’m happy to answer any questions as you work through the layout.
