Assemble Volumes & Build Linked TOCs
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have a collection of completed Word documents, each one a self-contained volume of a larger book. I will give you a written list that shows the exact order these volumes must follow. Using that list, please compile the files so the manuscript flows seamlessly from Volume 1 through the final volume, retaining existing page numbers and headers inside each file.
Three specific volumes are still missing their internal tables of contents. Within those Word files, create properly formatted TOCs that pick up the chapter headings (Heading 1 level) so they auto-update whenever content shifts.
Finally, add a master table of contents at the very front of the compiled book. This master TOC should display the full list of volumes and hyperlink each entry to the opening page of its corresponding volume. All links must function inside Microsoft Word.
Deliverables
• One compiled Word manuscript in the sequence provided
• Three in-document TOCs (one per designated volume)
• A front-matter master TOC that links to every volume
